Let’s be real. I am not ready for the dating stage. And I don’t have to be, exactly, I mean, my oldest is only 10. She won’t be allowed to date a boy for several more years, and only then after the young man has met her 6-foot-2 father and proven himself capable of gutting a deer without gagging. (Not really. But that would be a fun test, wouldn’t it?)
However, just because we’re not actually tripping the threshold of the dating stage yet doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be thinking about it. Now is the time to scout ahead and prepare my daughter for what dating means—for the Christian.
Join me on The Better Mom today for some straight talk about boyfriends/girlfriends, purity, and why we shouldn’t be afraid to talk about it with our tweens.
See you there!
Becky
