Does your church have an indoor slide? Ours does. And it has a tree house, a snack bar, a life-size boat filled with LEGOs, plus a fun Bible bucks system for earning cool prizes. Seriously, you should see how the kids in our church love Jesus.
But then they come home.
And we can’t exactly fit a tree house in our living room.
Church is a wonderful training ground for children to learn the Bible. Yet as parents we know it’s not the church’s responsibility to instill Christian values in our kids. Faith begins in the family, where it’s our job to model and teach biblical principles on a daily basis. But what if home lacks the fun factor? Are we making God too boring for our kids?
Join me on For the Family today for five practical ways we parents can encourage faith through fun. Yes, I know, God never said we needed to be fun. But he never said we can’t be, either. File this one under “can’t hurt, might help.” Click here to catch the full story on For the Family. I’ll race ya!
